Upendra Dahal, a longtime volunteer and a Secretary of BCAP, is now serving as the Project director for BCAP under a project funded by the ORR. Mr. Dahal has been volunteering for the community since the beginning of resettlement here in Pittsburgh.
His educational background is extensive; he received a Masters of Business Administration from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, a Masters of Arts in Sociology from Tribhuwan University in Nepal, and a Bachelors in Political Science Majors from North Bengal University, India. Not only has he worked to help the Bhutanese community in Pittsburgh, but Mr. Dahal has also worked to help those in the refugee camps, where he served as a teacher for over 10 years.
Mr. Dahal is also an active member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America and its GC, Hindu Jain Temple in Pittsburgh. He describes himself as a passionate community volunteer, excellent networker, and a great fan of Penguins and Steelers!
