Ganga Neupane Baral, originally from Bhutan, has been in the US for the last ten years. She moved to Pittsburgh, PA from Phoenix AZ. Mrs. Baral worked as a case manager for more than eight years with the refugee resettlement program where she was responsible for ensuring the delivery of services as outlined in Reception and Placement and state-funded refugee program in a timely and effective manner to provide the best practices for successful adjustment of refugees in their new country. Mrs. Baral’s past experience urged her to further her studies in the field of social work. Currently, she’s taking classes at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work.
Mrs. Baral also works at the Consumer Health Coalition as a Community Health Worker for the Bhutanese community. CHW connects and educates community members with services related to health care access, education, housing, food, and personalized support.
